Handmade in Portugal, our rugs are more than home decor, they are the result of tradition, skill, and sustainable practices passed down through generations.

In Portugal, weaving handmade rugs, cushions or throws is more than a craft, it’s a tradition kept alive on wooden looms that have been working for over fifty years. Each rug is made by hand, using recycled cotton sourced from Portugal and France. Old textiles, from towels to T-shirts, are given a second life, turning into beautiful, sustainable home decor.

The process requires patience and skill. Artisans carefully weave the cotton strips so that every line is tight and even, ensuring a consistent density across the rug. Because the material comes from recycled batches, colors may vary slightly, giving each piece its own personality and uniqueness.

The looms can weave up to two meters in length. Once the fabric is ready, it is rolled, cut, and finished by hand by experienced seamstresses. From dyeing the threads in Portugal to the final stitching, every step is done locally and with care.

These rugs are not just decorative items, they are a piece of Portuguese heritage.
