Welcome to Maison Altana

Maison Altana was born in 2024, in the heart of the beautiful Alentejo region, in southern Portugal. Founded by Lisa, a French interior designer, the brand is the result of a love for simplicity, minimalism, and authenticity.
 
This project is primarily a design studio, our true core expertise. Yet, arriving in this unique land, we were inspired by Portugal’s natural beauty and its rich local craftsmanship.​ From this inspiration, the Maison Altana textile collection was born, composed of rugs, cushions, throws, tablecloth and poufs, all handmade in Portugal. All our pieces are made using recycled cotton sourced from Portuguese textile factories. Crafted with minimal resources, they follow an eco-friendly approach. We work exclusively with Portuguese artisans and family-owned workshops, supporting traditional skills and sustainable production.

Each creation reflects the soul of Alentejo in its colors and textures: the beige of the sand, the honey and brown shades of the rocks, the terracotta of the sunsets, and the bright white of the houses.
 
Between France and Portugal, we connect cultures through design. Maison Altana combines minimalist, sustainable design with natural materials to create meaningful, elegant interiors and objects Made in Portugal.
