Maison Altana is a French interior design studio based in Sines, Portugal. We design functional and harmonious interiors across the Alentejo, from Setúbal to Comporta, Sines, Porto Covo, Odemira, and the Algarve.We are also available for projects throughout the rest of Portugal.
The studio collaborates with private clients, professionals, and short-term rental projects such as Alojamento Local, offering interior design services from space planning and 3D visualization to furniture selection and aesthetic project coordination.
Each project is designed to reflect its surroundings and local character, particularly for holiday rentals, where the atmosphere of the region plays an essential role in creating a unique experience.
Our goal is to design interiors that feel right for the people who live there and for the place itself.
THE PROCESS
Consultation
Every project starts with a conversation. During our first meeting, we take the time to understand your needs, your lifestyle, and what you want to achieve. This first step allows us to define together the direction that best suits you and your space.
Design process
Once the brief is defined, we move on to the creative phase. We develop mood boards, layouts, a personalized shopping list to explore different possibilities. This list is created based on our curated selection of Portuguese and French suppliers, allowing us to combine authenticity, craftsmanship, and timeless design. Our goal is to find the right balance between your ideas, the potential of the space, and the atmosphere you want to create.
Presentation
When the concept is ready, we present the full proposal including floor plans, furniture selections, materials, finishes, and the options you have chosen, all within the initial budget. This is a collaborative moment: we review everything together, make adjustments if needed, and finalise the design before moving on to the next steps.
